Julio Ramón Ribeyro (1929-1994) and Youssef Edris (1927-1992), two celebrities in the field of the storytelling in the 50s from two different worlds and whose traces cannot be forgotten in the local literature of their countries and internationally, but both did not receive the proper tribute to their talent.
Despite the distance that separates them, they have many similarities that bring them together on a personal and literary scale.
In this study, we will try to expose the similar fields between both authors through the analysis of a story for each one of them, for Ribeyro we will analyze "The birds without feathers" in his book Complete Stories (CC) and for Youssef Edris "Glare" of his book The cheapest nights (NB).
We will focus on the personal and literary life of each one of them and their contributions to the field of storytelling.
We will approach their themes and their literary techniques used while describing their characters, space, time and the narrator. We will also study the narrative techniques and structure of each story.
