Abstract

The subject of the study is "the narrative formation and the structures significant in Makers of Egypt book by Omar Taher", it aims to reveal how the narrative discourse is formed in the book and the structures significant in it, the study benefits from the method of Genetic structuralism. The study stops at two stages in the analysis (comprehension stage) and then (explanation stage). In the comprehension phase, the study explained the internal structure of the work and how the narrative discourse of the book is formed, the autobiographies were formed from several short numbered narrative scenes, Omar Taher benefits from some of the cinematic techniques in the presentation of these shots such as editing technique, scene pieces, and flashback, and in (explanation stage) which links the work to the social center in which it appeared to discover the structures significantly, the study stopped at three structures significant: historical structure, social structure, cultural structure.
