Integración conceptual en las caricaturas del Coronavirus en la prensa hispana digital del año 2020

Abstract

This study includes a practical application of the Integration Theory, relevant to the cognitive linguistics on ten caricatures published in the Hispanic press in the year 2020. Following the theory, the caricatures are analyzed in 4 spaces that express the mental functions that lead to the elaboration of these caricatures in a way which integrates the idea of corona virus with political, social or economic issues. These spaces are: Generic space, integral space, mental space 1 and mental space 2.
