This article is based on the speech act theory created by Austin and Searle. That is through analyzing and exploring the communication function represented in “accomplishing actions with words” in the advertisements of awareness campaigns to confront the Corona virus pandemic. Speech act theory is an important theory of pragmatics in linguistics used in discourse analysis. "Speech Act Theory" states that words can perform actions to achieve a certain purpose. The theory also states that language is not only a structural form, but also an act. As long as the speaker speaks meaningful and understandable words, it is considered a speech act.
