Phraseologies are an important part of language and carrier of culture. They reflect people’s view of the world and social systems. The importance of studying concept "beauty" due to the fact that beauty always determines man's relation to others and the world around him.
Work is devoted to the description of the concept of "beauty" on the basis of Russian and Arabic phraseology and lexicographic materials. We can find concept "beauty" in every ethnic culture, its existence is universal. We compare linguistic representation of "beauty" through phraseology, proverbs in Russian and Arabic. To compare the concept of beauty in Arabic and Russian we identified and described the conceptual, figurative and evaluative aspects of the concept "beauty".
Goal of the study is to describe the differences and similarities of Russian and Arabic phraseologies on lexico-semantic level
