Abstract
In recent years, there has been an increased interest in winged units in linguistic research. This is explained by the fact that winged units are linguistic units with rich national and cultural information, a figurative component of oral and written speech, and a repository of linguistic experience.
The sources of winged expressions include the Bible and the Koran, ancient culture, folklore (fairy tales, epics, legends, parables, folk songs), literature, history and philosophy, statements of outstanding figures, professional art (opera, operetta, romance), television (television series, telecasts, commercials), movies, songs.
Transformation of winged expressions in newspapers is one of the language game methods, which is speech behavior and communication features that are aimed at achieving additional effects, usually for the purpose of entertainment, amusement, amplification of speech impact.
As a result of analysis of the research material, the following types of transformations were identified: Replacement of lexical unit, truncation, adding a lexical unit, replacement of a narrative or exclamatory sentence by an interrogative sentence, replacement of a narrative sentence by an exclamatory sentence.
