Our study aims to reveal Elderly image ideological and artistic features in A.N.Arbuzov's works «Tales of Old Arbat «(1970), and «Old-fashioned Comedy «(1975). The goal assumes the solution of the following tasks: consideration of the ideological content of the plays, identification of the characteristics of the main images, and highlighting the artistic means used by the writer. We will rely on critical-literary and analytical methods that correspond to the goals and objectives of our research. The elderly are undoubtedly industrious, especially when they enjoy health; loyal, devoted, and wise. Love for them has its own characteristics, and is characterized by a sense of inner balance and wisdom due to the experience gained. But they experience loneliness, and sometimes a tense relationship with the other generation.
