Intertextuality in ‘‘the songs of Life’’ Divan by Abu Al Qasem Al Shabi

Abstract

The subject of the study is Intertextuality in ‘‘the songs of Life’’ Divan by Abu Al Qasem Al Shabi. This study is aim to reveal the forms of Intertextuality and roles in ‘‘the songs of Life’’ Divan, so the study is benefit of Intertextuality term and its laws to determine the relationship between the texts and to highlight the roles of Intertextuality in the poetic text.
The study has been manifested Two types of Intertextuality: direct Intertextuality, and indirect Intertextuality.
Numerous forms of direct Intertextuality has Appeared, historical, Sufism trend, with Kalila wa Dimna, and mythical Intertextuality. The study concluded that direct Intertextuality in Al Shabi Divan is adopted the rumination law.
The indirect Intertextuality seemed more complicated and difficult, it has manifested more forms of indirect Intertextuality: with the Heritage Arabic poetry, the Modern Arabic poetry, and with the European poetry. Research has found that indirect Intertextuality is adopted rumination and absorption laws.
