Internal Intertextuality with Quranic Texts in the Poetry of Wisdom: An Applied Study on Imam Al-Shafei's Poetry

Abstract

This study attempts to decide the most important aspects of internal intertextuality with Quranic texts in Imam Al-Shafei's poetry of wisdom. Reading this poetry according to the methodology of intertextuality broadened the horizons of the text and its significance. Al-Shafei relied on many Quranic verses which formed an important aspect of the poetry of wisdom. Intertextuality contributed to the poetics of the text and delivered the poet's vision towards life. Intertextuality is rich in implications and significances which give the poetic experience distinction and supremacy.
