Abstract

Idioms are special phrases or short sentences that have been used for a long time in Chinese vocabulary, and they are also a major feature of culture.
Idioms are also one of the important components of Chinese. In Chinese, they are not only a part of the language phenomenon that can best express grammar, semantics and rhetoric, but also a manifestation of the cultural tradition of the Chinese nation. Therefore, it still maintains a timeless vitality and expressive force in modern Chinese. This study will discuss the idioms describing women and their grammatical functions.
Chinese idioms are fixed phrases formed after long-term use and euphemisms in the language. They have a syntactic function equivalent to a word. They are rich in deep ideological connotations. Most idioms consist of 4 symbols, and have a tight structure; the word order cannot be changed, and the components in it cannot be replaced
