Phonological and Psychological Semiotics in Al-Buhturi's "Sinitic" Poetry

Abstract

The research aims to examine the phonological aspect of the "Alsiyn"-(S) sound- as a crucial component in the structure of Al-Buhturi's poetry, which made a stylistic difference in his poetic compositions. The research is based on a mechanism of employing this sound in the text from a contemporary perspective, focusing on semiotics and structural analysis. This is achieved through studying its distinctive characteristics, its position in textual systems, its interaction with other sounds, its centrality in the phonological system, and its contribution to shaping the rhythmic structure. This research, in its essence, addresses the value of each individual sound in constructing the text. It has yielded some results, including: the relationship between language and psychology is essential to explore the depths of the text and reveal linguistic and psychological semiotics within it.
