Kim Dong-in's "Kamzza" and Yusuf Idris's "AlHaram" explore the colonial realities brought about by foreign domination, the suffering caused by poverty, and the process of moral decay in human nature. Both stories are very famous works and are considered a significant part of modern Korean and Arabic literature. Both works share several similarities in themes, narrative techniques, and symbolism, directly addressing class conflict and the transformation of ethical values. They also critique a society where materialism alters and governs all values. Both pieces realistically depict the lives of poor and marginalized laborers under colonial rule in Egypt and Korea. This study compares the literary themes and characteristics of the works, analyzing the themes, characters, and symbols. The writing styles of the authors are characterized by a unique and distinctive artistic approach. Both works focus on the lived reality in a way that emphasizes describing the psychological state of individuals in a society marked by social inequalities, and the negative impact this has on their lives
