The Chinese writer Alai is one of the most important writers who pay attention to the narrative art of novels. Many of his novels, especially his representative work " The Dust Settles ", have obvious poetic narratives. Some people even think that "it is better to think of it as a long poem than to say that "dust settled" is a novel." Alai entered the literary gate as a poet. He began poetry creation in 1982 and turned to novel creation after the mid-1980s.
This paper intends to analyze the poetic narrative of A Lai's novel "The Dust Settles" from the perspective of narratology, including. The narrative art characteristics of Alai's novels, The Poetic title, The Poetic Language and The Magic Story and the characters in "The Dust Settles".
