Abstract

The choice of this subject is due to the emergence of the phenomenon of formal and semantic changes of Arabic words that Egyptian young people use constantly. We will highlight the motivations for this change and their types. The purpose of this work is also to shed light on the processes used by teens to create words in a new sense. We will try to explain why teens resort to the phenomenon of semantic evolution. We will also answer these questions: Does this phenomenon consist in enriching the language or not? Does it represent a danger for the language or not? Do members of the community accept these language phenomena and incorporate their terms into the lexicon?
